Christiaan Bezuidenhout closed with a two-under-par 68 on Sunday to finish in a share of 22nd in the PGA Tour’s FedEx St Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee.

He slipped one place to 23rd on the FedExCup rankings, but that leaves him firmly in the field of the top 50 players on that list for the BMW Championship, and looking likely to make the top 30 for the Tour Championship.

Bezuidenhout made two bogeys in the first five holes, but he picked up four birdies in the rest of the final round to finish the tournament on six-under-par. Hideki Matsuyama of Japan held on with a closing level-par 70 giving him a two-stroke win over Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland.

Erik van Rooyen bowed out of the FedExCup Playoffs with his closing one-over 71 seeing him slip to 62nd on the rankings. He closed the tournament on four-under-par in a share of 33rd.
