Ian Snyman carded a bogey-free four-under-par 67 on Thursday in the opening round of the Asian Tour’s New Zealand Open at Millbrook Golf Resort to be in a share of 13th.
The tournament was led after 18 holes by Australia’s Christopher Wood, who made an eagle and eight birdies for his 10-under-par 61. He led by four from six players on six-under, with five players on five-under, including three New Zealand amateurs.
Snyman was one of 20 players bunched on four-under-par. He made just a single birdie on his front nine, on the eighth, but he picked up three on his way home.
