Justin Harding went bogey-free on Friday as he carded a six-under-par 64 at Galgorm Castle to climb inside the top 10 at the halfway mark of the European Tour’s ISPS HANDA World Invitational at Galgorm Castle and Massereene in Country Antrim, Northern Ireland.

He made three birdies on each nine, and, at six-under for the tournament, he’s five shots behind the lead held at 11-under by New Zealand’s Daniel Hillier who carded an eight-under 62 – also at Galgorm Castle. Hillier had a one-stroke lead over first-round leader Jordan Smith of England, who, in turn, is two shots clear of his countrymen Garrick Porteous and David Horsey.

Jacques Kruyswijk followed his first-round 67 with a one-under 69 to be in a share of 20th at four-under for the tournament. Bryce Easton carded a level-par 70 to be at level-par at the halfway mark.

Hennie du Plessis, Jayden Schaper and Haydn Porteous missed the halfway cut.

In the women’s side of the tournament, on South Africa’s Paula Reto survived the 36-hole cut. At level-par, she is two off the projected cut which will take place after 54 holes. Nobuhle Dlamini of Swaziland, Lee-Anne Pace, Stacy Breman, Lejan Lewthwaite and Nicole Garcia all missed out on the Saturday action.
