Stacy Bregman took advantage of a solid week on the Ladies European Tour as her share of 18th in the Lacoste Ladies Open de France at the weekend saw her climb 58 places on the latest Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.
Bregman, who got her game back on track when she won the Sunshine Ladies Tour’s Standard Bank Ladies Open as the end of April, moved to 622nd in the rankings – a move which she will be hoping is the beginning of an upward trend.
Nicole Garcia, who finished one shot ahead of Bregman in France at the weekend, was also up. She climbed eight places to 185th for her share of 14th, and she remains South Africa’s third-best golfer according to the list. Bregman is the country’s seventh-best player, one position behind Kaleigh Telfer, who is in 487th and is playing on the Epson Tour in the United States.
The top-ranked South African remains Ashleigh Buhai in 20th place, with Paula Reto the second-placed player on 107th.
