Ian Snyman closed with a brilliant bogey-free 63 on Sunday to finish inside the top 10 in the Asian Tour’s and Japan Golf Tour’s Shinhan Donghae Open at the Ocean Course at Club72 in Incheon, South Korea.
Snyman made five birdies on the front nine and four on the back nine on his way to his nine-under-par closing round, which, together with eventual runner-upPhachara Khongwatmai of Thailand, was the low round of the day.
Khongwatmai lost in a play-off from Korean Guntaek Koh after the pair had finished on 19-under in regulation play. They were two clear of Japan’s Keita Nakajima, Australian Anthony Quayle and Richard T Lee of Canada. Snyman was in a share of 10th with Kensei Hirata of Japan.
Shaun Norris made an eagle and two birdies in his closing round of four-under-par 68 to finish on 13-under in a share of 19th. Jbe’ Kruger had a final round of three-under 69 to reach 11-under for the tournament and a share of 33rd.
