Ashleigh Buhai came to light on Saturday with a four-under-par 68 in the third round of the LPGA Tour’s season-opener, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in Orlando, Florida.

Buhai made five birdies and a bogey to go with her pair of 72s in the first two rounds to climb the leaderboard into a share of 12th ahead of the final round. At four-under, she’s a long way off the pace which has been set since the first round by Korea’s A Lim Kim.

Kim was on 15-under-par after a third round of five-under-par 67. That was matched by Sweden’s Linn Grant, but Grant was three strokes behind the leader in the field of 30. Lydia Ko of New Zealand and world number one Nelly Korda of the United States were in third on 11-under.

“My goal, my starting goal always my job, not result,” Kim said. “So, I really focus on my prepare, process, and then, just hit it. That’s all. So my position, I don’t care. That’s not important for me.”

“Really trying to figure out where I’m at, all the changes I’ve done, how that feels, and really just trying to get every shot as good as possible,” Grant said. “I think that mindset is good to have any week. It’s just easier now than in the middle of the season.”
