Ashleigh Buhai was the only player of the two South Africans to make the cut in the US Women’s Open when she carded her second three-over-par 75 on Friday to make it to the weekend in a share of 58th at Pebble Beach Golf Links in California.

Once again, she made five bogeys and two birdies as she reached six-over through 36 holes. That was 13 shots behind the lead which was held by American Bailey Tardy, who had a second round of four-under 68 to move to seven-under. Tardy was two shots clear of countrywoman Allisen Corpuz and Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim who were on five-under. Defending champion Minjee Lee of Australia was on one-over in a share of 11th.

Buhai made the cut on the number at six-under, but Paula Reto had a nine-over 81 for her second round and missed the cut with her 36-hole total of 11-over.
