Ashleigh Buhai made three birdies on Saturday to move into a share of 21st place after the third round of the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Saudi Ladies International at Riyadh Golf Club.

On the flip side of those strokes gained, she also made a double-bogey on the 13th with the only three-putt of her round on her way to a one-under-par 71. That moved her to two-under for the tournament, none strokes behind the leader, Patty Tavatanakit of Thailand. Tavatanakit’s 69 took her to 11-under, three clear of Esther Henseleit of Germany.

Also in a share of 21st with Buhai was Paula Reto, who slipped to a two-over 74 in the third round – frustrating after her opening 67.

“Overall, I was pleased with the mentality out there,” said Tavatanakit. “I feel like I had a really good mindset with how the round started. It was just kind of slow. I feel like I didn’t mishit a shot today. But on one hole, I went over the green, I just hit it too good.

“I think tomorrow, all I want to do is make the right choices each and every shot, and whatever it is that I’m going to face, I’m up for it. I know it’s not going to be easy. Just making the right choices and commit to my processes is something I’m going to do tomorrow.”
