Buhai up in women’s world rankings despite rest week

Ashleigh Buhai took a week off last week and still went up one position to 18th in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings to 18th.

That, and a similarly simple statistical adjustment to Lee-Anne Pace’s ranking which saw her down one place to 159th, were the only two changes to the top 10 South African positions on the list.

Paula Reto missed the cut in the LPGA Tour’s Lotte championship in Hawaii, and not damage was done to her 60th place on the rankings.

South Africa’s top 10:

  1. Ashleigh Buhai 18 (up 1)
  2. Paula Reto 60 (unchanged)
  3. Lee-Anne Pace 159 (down 1)
  4. Nicole Garcia 199 (unchanged)
  5. Casandra Alexander 264 (unchanged)
