Dean Burmester had a bogey-free four-under-par 66 on Sunday in the closing round of the LIV Golf Invitational-Greenbrier at The Old White Course in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia to finish in eighth place.
While everybody’s closing round was eclipsed by Bryson DeChambeau’s 12-under-par 58, Burmester continued his solid performance withing the confines of the 54-hole no-cut environment of LIV Golf to reach 13-under. That was 10 strokes behind DeChambeau, who, at 23-under, won by six strokes from Mito Pereira. Richard Bland, David Puig and Matthew Wolff all finished on 16-under.
On 13-under with Burmester was Branden Grace, who closed with a three-under-par 67. Louis Oosthuizen also had a closing 67, and was in 28th on eight-under. Charl Schwartzel withdrew after eight holes of the final round.
In the team contest, the South African Stinger GC finished third on 40-under-par. It was their third third-place finish of the season and they stay in third place on the standings.
