Jaco Ahlers had a final round of four-under-par 69 on Sunday as he climbed to eight-under-par for the tournament and a share of 13th in the Asian Tour’s International Series-Morocco on the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam Red Course in Rabat.

Although he had an early bogey on his card on the second hole, he managed to keep any more drops off the card as he made five birdies, including four in his last six holes. In the end, he was seven strokes off the lead.

The tournament was won by New Zealand’s Ben Campbell, who eagled the par-four 17th and birdied the 18th on his way to forcing a play-off with the hot American John Catlin. They both finished on 15-under. On the par-five 18th hole, the first of the play-off they both faced 10-foot birdie putts, with Campbell holing his first before his American opponent, normally so clinical, just missed his attempt.

In a share of 13th with Ahlers was Yurav Premlall, who closed with a one-over 74, as well as Zimbabwe’s Scott Vincent, who had a 71.

Branden Grace was a stroke back in a share of 20th after a closing level-par 73, while Ian Snyman had a final round of one-under 72 to finish in a share of 33rd on three-under-par.
