Bryce Easton finished best of the South Africans on Sunday with his closing 66 lifting him to a share of 15th in the HotelPlanner Tour’s Raiffeisenbank Golf Challenge at the Kaskáda Golf Resort in Brno, Czech Republic.
Easton could have been put off by his double-bogey five on the eighth hole after he had started so well with three birdies up until that point. He followed that mistake with an eagle on the ninth, and then picked up three more birdies on the back nine, interspersed with a bogey on the 16th.
In the end, his final round of five-under-par took him to nine-under-par for the tournament. He was 12 shots behind the runaway winner, Palmer Jackson of the United States, who signed for a closing seven-under 64 to reach 21-under-par. Jackson was six strokes clear of Matthew Cheung of Hong Kong and Sweden’s Tobias Jonsson
Easton shared 15th with two other players, including compatriot JC Ritchie, who rounded out his week with a one-under-par 70.
A shot back on eight-under was first-round leader Jovan Rebula, who signed off with a one-under 70 and a share of 18th.
