After the second round played on Serengeti’s Whistling Thorn Par-Three course on Tuesday, Estiaan Conradie held a two-shot lead at the top of the leaderboard of the Bushveld Tour’s Bushveld Series #1.

Conradie produced a superb five-under-par total of 49 to move to eight-under for the 36 holes. That was two shots clear of Graham van der Merwe, who had a three-under 51. Stals Swart and Kian Coetzer were on three-under in a share of third after rounds of one-under and three-under respectively.

Conradie picked up three birdies on the front nine to turn n three-under 24, and he made another gain on the 12^th. He dropped his only shot of the day on the 13^th, but he picked up two more birdies on the final two holes, the 17^th and the 18^th.

James Pennington of Eswatini was in fifth on two-under ahead of the final round on the main course after he signed for a two-under on the par-three course, and Jono Broomhead was on one-under in sixth after his one-under in the second round.

First round leader Gerhard Trytsman slumped to a six-over on Whistling Thorn and slid down to a share of ninth on two over.
