Adilson Da Silva finished in a share of fourth on Sunday in the Legends Tour’s WINSTONgolf Senior Open at WINSTONgolf in Vorbeck, Germany as he carded a final-round four-under-par 68.
It was his second successive 68 after he opened the 54-hole tournament with a level-par 72, and his eight-under total left him two strokes behind the winner, Scott Hend of Australia. On his debut on the tour, Hend edged out Peter Baker and Phillip Archer of England by one shot with his closing six-under-par 66.
James Kingston closed with a two-under-par 70 to move to five-under for the tournament and 10th place on his own. Keith Horne was in a share of 22nd after his closing one-over 73 moved him to level-par for the tournament. Chris Williams was a further shot back on one-over in a share of 27th after his third-round 73.
“To win on any tour is great” Hend said. “I had some pretty high expectations coming out here and I knew the guys were very solid players. Tt feels great to get a win under the belt. It’s a new start to the career at 50-plus.”
