Adilson Da Silva started the Legends Tour’s WCM Legends Open de France at Golf de Saint-Cloud in Paris with a bogey-free six-under-par 65 on Thursday to be in second place after the first round.
Da Silva trailed leader Greg Owen of England by two shots after Owen had an eight-under 63, and he was one clear of Keith Horne, who was in third on five-under after he had six birdies and a bogey in his opening round.
Da Silva made just two birdies on his opening nine, and then four on the homeward nine, while Horne had four on the front nine and then two and a bogey on the back nine. Owen was, like Da Silva, bogey-free with an eagle and six birdies.
On two-under after the first round was James Kingston in a share of 10th. He also had six birdies, but he made four bogeys.
