Adlison Da Silva held on to a position inside the top 10 on Saturday with a third round of one-under-par 71 in the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas.
The Brazilian who lives in South Africa made three birdies and two bogeys to move to seven-under-par for the tournament, nine strokes off the lead which has been dominated by Padraig Harrington. The Irishman moved to 16-under with a four-under 68, and he takes a one-stroke lead over Steve Stricker into the final round. Stewart Cink was on 13-under in third.
A late double bogey from Harrington, coupled with four birdies over the last six holes by Stricker, have set up the potential for a sensational Sunday finish.
Da Silva was in a share of eighth with Japan’s Katsumasa Miyamoto and with Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain, with whom he’ll play the final round.
