Daffue 3-under as darkness halts Simmons Bank Championship

MJ Daffue carded a three-under-par 69 on Thursday in the first round of the Korn Ferry Tour’s Simmons Bank Open for a share of 32nd.

Daffue, currently 17th on the Korn Ferry Tour rankings, made six birdies and three bogeys, and trails the lead by four shots after play was suspended due to darkness. José de Jesús Rodríguez of Mexico and American Tom Whitney had completed their rounds at seven-under, and Quade Cummins of the United States was seven-under through 14 when play was called off for the day. They led by one from eight players, two of whom had yet to complete their rounds.
