He started with four successive birdies on Saturday to get moving day underway in the Korn Ferry Tour’s LECOM Suncoast Classic at Lakewood, Florida, and MJ Daffue put himself in second place ahead of the final round.

He made bogey on the seventh, but got things rolling again with a birdie ahead of the turn on the ninth. He made three more birdies on his homeward nine to move to 16-under for the tournament, one behind the leader Michael Gellerman of the United States. Daffue was one clear of Ben Griffin of the United States and Byeong Hun An of South Korea.

For the first time in 65 career starts on the Korn Ferry Tour, Gellerman sits atop the leaderboard prior to the final round of a tournament. In 2019, Gellerman won the AdventHealth Championship three hours away from his hometown of Sterling, Kansas, for his first and only career victory on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Daffue takes some very consistent form with him into the final round as he goes in search of his first Korn Ferry Tour win.
