Amateur Werner Deyzel pulled off his second victory in as many events on the Bushveld Tour on Friday when he won a play-off to take the Bushveld Tour’s Kagiso Tarp and Net Series #2 at Glenvista Golf Club.
Deyzel eagled the 17th in regulation play to draw level with Ricky Hendler, as he carded a second-round four-under-par 68 to go with his opening 70. Hendler closed with a one-under 71. The pair was three shots clear of Harry Konig of England and Chris Long.
Deyzel also made five birdies and three bogeys in his final round, and his win takes him well clear at the top of the order of merit for the five-tournament series. With 16,000 points, he leads Konig, who has 5,283 in second. Hendler is in third on 4,500.
The next tournament will be on December 1 and 2 at Reading Country Club.
