On a day in which players battled to get under par, DK Kim held on for a one-stroke win in the Bushveld Tour’s one-day event at Kyalami Country Club.
The wind made things difficult for the players, and Kim, with an eagle, three birdies and four bogeys, was the only player to break par. His one-under 71 gave him a one-stroke victory over Slade Pickering, with Arno Pretorius, Divan Mostert and Donavan Liddicoat all on one-over 73 in a share of third.
Kim started his round with a birdie on the first, but he immediately gave that shot back with a bogey on the second. He picked up his eagle on the par-five fourth, and made one more birdie and one more bogey ahead of the turn which he reached in two-under. Bogeys on 10 and 17 brought him back to level-par before he made birdie on the 18th to pull one clear for the win.
