It wasn’t quite the finish he wanted on Sunday as Jacques Kruyswijk battled to a two-over-par 74 in the closing round of the PGA Tour and DP World Tour co-sanctioned ISCO Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.

He finished the tournament in a share of 31st, having headed into the final round inside the top 10. His 14-under-par total left him eight shots outside the five-way play-off which was won at the third extra hole by England’s Harry Hall.

Kruyswijk did well to overcome a triple-bogey seven early in his closing round on the fourth hole when he put two balls in the water. He followed that disconcerting episode with four consecutive birdies to reach the turn in one-under-par 35. But he made three bogeys in the final five holes as he tried to keep up making up lost ground.

Two strokes behind him, MJ Daffue closed with a two-under-par 70 to finish on 12-under in a share of 45th. Garrick Higgo rounded off a miserable weekend with his second successive three-over 75 to finish in 63rd on seven-under-par.
