Bryce Easton added a four-under-par 68 to his tally on Friday in the second round of the HotelPlanner Tour’s Hangzhou Open at Hangzhou West Lake Golf Club in Hangzhou, China.
Easton moved to 10-under-par for the tournament, three strokes off the lead. In front, Austrian Lukas Nemecz carded a six-under-par 66 to move to 13-under-par and a two-stroke lead over Sebastian Garcia of Spain. Easton shared third with eight other players.
The South African was off to a hot start in his second round with three consecutive birdies in the opening three holes. He picked up another to turn in four-under, but the back nine was an altogether different proposition. He made a single birdie on the 17th, and that came after he had dropped a shot on the 16th.
One shot behind the big group in third was Wilco Nienaber, who had a second round of five-under-par 67. At nine-under-par, he was in a share of 12th.
The Race to Mallorca leader, JC Ritchie, was on five-under-par for the tournament in a share of 37th after his second round of five-under 67.
Jovan Rebula made the cut on the number at three-under after he had a second round of three-under-par 69.
