Bryce Easton kept his hopes of a Challenge Tour title alive on Saturday with a one-under-par 71 in the third round of the Swiss Challenge at Golf Saint Apollinaire in Folgensbourg, France.
Easton is currently ranked 40th on the Road to Mallorca list on the Challenge Tour, and the top 20 on the Road to Mallorca at the end of the season all earn promotion to the DP World Tour.
He started his round with a pair of birdies on the first and the second, and he made bogey on seven. He dropped another shot on the final hole after making one more birdie ahead of the turn on the ninth.
That put him at seven-under-par for the tournament through 54 holes, just three strokes off the lead held by Jeong weon Ko of Korean, Ko had a third round of level-par 72, and led by one from Dane Martin Simonsen, with England’s Ben Stow in third on eight-under.
Deon Germishuys battled to a one-over-par 73 to head into the final round at one-under in a share of 31st while JC Ritchie carded a two-over 74 to slip to level-par and a share of 36th.
