Bryce Easton overcame four bogeys on Saturday to card a four-under-par 68 in the third round of the DP World Tour’s Betfred British Masters hosted by Sir Nick Faldo at The Belfry in the United Kingdom.
Easton countered those dropped shots with no fewer than eight birdies as he moved to five-under-par for the tournament, and a share of eighth place, just two shots off the lead. In a logjam at seven-under at the top of the leaderboard were six players, including English players Andy Sullivan, Oliver Wilson and James Morrison. They shared the lead with Joost Luiten of the Netherlands, Guido Migliozzi of Italy and Niklaas Norgaard of Denmark. Maximilian Kieffer of Germany was in seventh on six-under.
Also on five-under in eighth with Easton was Justin Walters, who had a two-under-par 70 in the third round.
Welshman Rhys Enoch, a two-time winner on the Sunshine Tour, was on four-under in a share of 11th together with Joburg Open champion Dan Bradbury of England.
Deon Germishuys had a two-under-par 70 to move to three-under for the tournament and a share of 23rd, and Jayden Schaper’s 70 took him to one-under for the week and a share of 40th. Thomas Aiken was on level-par in 49th with Thriston Lawrence and Wilco Nienaber was on one-over in 57th. Ockie Strydom was down in 67th and Hennie du Plessis on four-over in 72nd.
