Ernie Els was in third place after the second round of the PGA Tour Champions Kaulig Companies Championship at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, after he carded a three-under-par 67.
Els was two shots off the pace which was set by Harrison Frazar of the United States. American Stewart Cink was in second on six-under-par, one stroke behind Frazar, after he had a second round of two-under-par 68.

The 51-year-old Frazar had one PGA Tour victory in 409 career starts, the 2011 FedEx St Jude Classic, and has yet to win on the over-50 tour.
Retief Goosen had a much better second round after his opening four-over 74, carding a three-under-par 67.
