Branden Grace raced through the field on Sunday in the final round of the LIV Golf Invitational-DC with a bogey-free six-under-par 66 lifting him into second place at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

His closing round took him to 11-under for the 54-hole event, putting him just one stroke behind the first-time LIV winner, Harold Varner III, who closed with a four-under 68. Grace was, in turn, a shot clear of third-placed Mito Pereira, who led after the second round.

Grace started his final round on the third hole in the shotgun start, and immediately made a birdie there. He picked up two more on five and nine, and then again on 13 and 18, before closing out his round with a final birdie on the second, his closing hole.

Louis Oosthuizen closed with a one-under 71 for seventh place on seven-under, while Dean Burmester had a level-par 72 to move to four-under and 17th. Charl Schwartzel had a two-under 70 to close, and finished in 29th on one-under.

The South African team, Stinger GC, finished in second on 24-under, three strokes behind the winners Torque GC.
