Dylan Frittelli climbed inside the top 10 on Saturday with a three-under-par 70 in the third round of the DP World Tour’s European Open at the Green Eagle Golf Courses in Hamburg, Germany.

Frittelli, who had opened with a pair of two-under-par 71s, made five birdies and two bogeys on moving day to climb to seven-under-par for the tournament and a share of 10th. He was five strokes off the lead which was shared by Laurie Canter of England and Italy’s Guido Migliozzi after they had rounds of level-par 73 and six-under-par 67 respectively.

Frittelli is currently just outside the top 20 on the Race to Dubai, and a good result in Germany would help in his quest to return to the kind of world ranking that had him a regular player on the PGA Tour until a poor season last year.

One stroke ahead of Frittelli on the leaderboard was Jayden Schaper, who continued his steady week with a two-under-par 71 in the third round. He was in a share of seventh with two other players on eight-under-par.

Thriston Lawrence continued his good form since round two with a third round of four-under-par 69 moving him to six-under-par and a share of 14th.

Ockie Strydom continued to battle after a good opening round, and he signed for a one-over-par 74 in the third round. At two-under for the tournament, he was in a share of 26th. Casey Jarvis was a shot further back after a 74 in a share of 36th.
