Nicole Garcia was one of two South Africa’s top 10 players who climbed on the latest Rolex Women’s World Rankings after a share of 14^th last weekend in the KPMG Women’s Irish Open.

It’s been a season of steady progress on the Ladies European Tour for Garcia, and her position on the official rankings list went up by two spots to 195^th after the Irish tournament, keeping her inside the top 200 players in the world.

The woman with whom she shared 14^th, Casandra Alexander, has likewise had a season of steady progress on the LET, and she was up three places to 277^th. That consolidates her ascension into the world’s top 300, and, she will no doubt be looking at that 200^th spot longingly as she rounds out her year.

South Africa’s top woman remains Ashleigh Buhai, unchanged at world number 20 this week.
