Nicole Garcia closed with a three-under-par 69 on Saturday to finish in a share of 13th in the Ladies European Tour’s Ladies Open by Pickala Rock Resort in Finland.
Garcia made two birdies on the front nine, and two more on the homeward nine, and, together with her dropped shot on the par-four fourth, she moved to six-under-par for the 54-hole tournament. That put her nine strokes behind the winner, Carmen Alonso of Spain, who closed with a 68 to reach 15-under and edge out Johanna Gustavsson by one stroke for her maiden victory on the tour.
Garcia had rounds of 70 and 71 in the first two rounds, and finished just one shot our of being inside the top 10.
Stace Bregman and Lejan Lewthwaite both missed the cut after rounds of 74-72 and 74-77 respectively.
Alonso’s win came after 19 seasons and 251 starts on the Ladies European Tour.
