After making three bogeys on the front nine on Sunday, Nicole Garcia pulled things back with a solid back nine to card a one-under-par 71 to finish in a share of fourth in the Ladies European Tour’s Wistron Ladies Open-Taiwan at Sunrise Golf and Country Club.
After making bogey on her first two holes in the final round, Garcia held things together until the sixth with pars. She made successive birdies on six and seven, but dropped another shot on the ninth to turn in one-over-par 37. On the homeward nine, she held things together well and made birdies on 13 and 18 to finish the week on six-under-par.
In the end, she was six strokes off the winning total of 12-under. Switzerland’s Chiara Tamburlini carded a closing three-under-par 69 to finish four strokes clear of Taiwan’s Yu-Sang Hou, and five ahead of France’s Perrine Delacour in third. Garcia shared fourth with Spain’s Maria Hernandez, Italian Virginia Elena Carta and Nastasia Nadaud of France.
Casandra Alexander finished with a four-under-par 68 to climb into a share of 12th on four-under, and Lee-Anne Pace also had a 68 – her only under-par round of the week – to finish in a share of 38th on three-over for the tournament.
