Nicole Garcia held on for third on Sunday with a final round of one-under-par 73 in the Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series-London at the Centurion Club in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
It was a gutsy battling effort from the South Africa, as she made four birdies and three bogeys in an attempt to get closer to the eventual winner, Nelly Korda of the United States. In the end, Korda’s two-under-par 71 was enough to take her to 11-under for the tournament, enough to keep her four clear of England’s Charley Hull, and six clear of Garcia who finished on five-under.
“It was so much fun this week,” said Korda, who also won the Individual title at the 2022 Aramco Team Series-Sotogrande. “I got to play in some very interesting weather and got to hit shots that I don’t necessarily get to hit all the time.
“I am hoping that I can take this momentum into the next couple of weeks. I have Evian and the AIG Women’s Open coming up and hopefully I have learned a little bit about the weather this week and I can take that momentum into the next two big events.”
Casandra Alexander had things lining up nicely for a possible top-10 finish, and then she made two double-bogeys in her final three holes. Unfortunately, she slipped to a share of 28th on four-over-par after her final round of four-over 77.
