Nicole Garcia opened the weather-hit Ladies European Tour’s Ladies Open by Pickala Rock Resort at Pickala Golf in Finland with a two-under-par 70 for a share of 23rd.
Garcia made two birdies and a bogey on each of the nines, and was six shots behind the lead which was held by Carmen Alonso of Spain. Alonso’s eight-under was good for a one-stroke lead over Christine Wolf of Austria, with Laura Taylor of England, local player Linda Osala and Swede Johanne Gustavsson on six-under in a share of third.
Lejan Lewthwaite was on two-over in a share of 90th together with Stacy Bregman.
