Deon Germishuys got himself inside the top 20 of the Challenge Tour’s Kaskada Golf Challenge in the Czech Republic on Saturday with a superb bogey-free seven-under-par 64 vaulting him into a share of 13th ahead of the final round.
He got things going early with a birdie on the first hole, and then another came on the sixth. He had a hot patch around the turn, with three in a row on nine, 10 and 11, and he rounded out his scoring with two more on 15 and 17 for the round of the day.
That took him to eight-under for the tournament, eight shots behind the three-way share of the lead held by Victor Riu of France, Germany’s Freddy Schott and Dane Martin Simonsen, who were all on 16-under.
Jayden Schaper had a good four-under 67 to move to six-under for the tournament and a share of 24th. Bryce Easton was one-over in the third round, in a share of 39th for the tournament on three-under.
