Grace climbs to 4th after 2nd round in Mayakoba

Branden Grace made four birdies and a bogey on Saturday in the second round of LIV Golf Mayakoba in Mexico, with his three-under-par 69 taking him to six-under-par for the tournament and a share of fourth place ahead of the final round.

The tournament was being led by Peter Uihlein of the United States who had a five-under 67 to move to nine-under. He shared the lead with countryman Talor Gooch who also carded a 67. They led by one from Charles Howell III, also of the United States. Grace shared fourth with Paul Casey of England.

Dean Burmester had a two-under 70 in his second round, and moved to level-par for the tournament and a share of 18th. Louis Oosthuizen had a three-under 69 to be in a share of 35th on three-over, and Charl Schwartzel had a three-over to slip to six-over and a share of 43rd.

In the team contest, the all-South African Stinger GC were on five-under for the tournament in seventh. The teams were led by Crushers GC on 14-under with Bryson DeChambeau, Anirban Lahiri, Casey and Howell.
