Branden Grace was the top South African in a tough week for all players in the Asian Tour’s International Series Oman at Al Mouj Golf in Muscat as he closed with a three-over-par 75 to finish in a share of 30th.

The tournament was won by Japan’s Takumi Kanaya, who carded a final one-under-par 71 to move to 10-under for the week and a four-stroke win over Berry Henson of the United States and Thailand’s Sadom Kaewkanjana.

Grace wasn’t the top Southern African: Scott Vincent of Zimbabwe had a level-par 72 to finish in a share of 17th on one-over for the week.

Hennie du Plessis, who was so impressive in the third round with his 64, tailed away to a closing nine-over-par to slip to five-over for the tournament and a share of 43rd.

Vincent’s brother Kieran had a level-par 72 to finish in a share of 52nd.
