Branden Grace finished the regular season of LIV Golf inside the top 10 of the individual standings on Sunday, even though he finished well down the leaderboard in the Jeddah event in 37th place.

Grace closed in Jeddah with a three-under-par 67 to finish three-under for the 54-hole no-cut event. That was 11 shots out of the play-off, which was won by Brooks Koepka over Talor Gooch on the second extra hole after both finished on 14-under-par. They were two clear of Harold Varner III, Scott Vincent and Sergio Garcia.

Grace’s ninth place on the rankings was a result of a runner-up finish, two third places, a sixth and a ninth. The rankings were topped by Gooch.

Charl Schwartzel was the best South African finisher in the Jeddah tournament, his four-under-par finish taking him to seven-under and 20th place. Also on seven-under was Dean Burmester, who closed with a three-under for 21st. Louis Oosthuizen had a one-under closer for five-under and 33rd.

Burmester finished 14th on the individual standings, Oosthuizen 24th and Schwartzel 38th – all making sure of retaining their places for the 2024 season.
