Garrick Higgo carded a two-under-par 69 on Saturday to move towards the top 20 in the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor in Florida.
Higgo made five birdies and three bogeys as he climbed 27 places on the leaderboard into a share of 25th on one-under for the tournament. That put him seven strokes behind the leader Adam Schenk of the United States, whose one-under 70 moved him to eight-under. He was one clear of the pursuing Jordan Spieth and Tommy Fleetwood.
Erik van Rooyen and MJ Daffue were in a share of 45th on one-over for the tournament after each had a third round of level-par 71.
