Luke Jerling was one of three players in a share of the lead on Monday after the first round of the Bushveld Tour’s Race to Q-School College Sports America Series #2 at the Els Club, Copperleaf when he carded a five-under-par 67.

The left-handed Jerling made six birdies and a bogey, and he shared a one-stroke edge over three players on four-under-par 68 with Delano Kotze and amateur Yurav Premlall. Last week’s winner, Kyle Mclachlan, Wiehan van der Walt and Ricky Hendler were in a share of fourth.

Kotze’s round was bogey-free, and Premlall made seven birdies and two bogeys.
