Jerling’s 67 gives him share of 5th in round 1 of Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge

Luke Jerling was in a share of fifth after the first round on Thursday of the Challenge Tour’s Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge at Golf PGA France du Vaudreuil in Le Vaudreuil, France after he carded a five-under-par 67.

He started his round on the 10th, and was bogey free on his way out as he turned in two-under. He made four birdies on his homeward nine, but dropped two shots too. That left him three shots off the lead which was held by Quim Vidal of Spain at eight-under after an eagle, seven birdies and a bogey. Vidal led by one from Sebastien Gros of France.

In a share of fifth with Jerling was Wilco Nienaber, who had an eagle, five birdies and two bogeys in his 67.

Dylan Naidoo opened with a three-under 69 for a share of 14th, while Albert Venter, Louis Albertse and JJ Senekal all carded level-par 72 for a share of 58th.
