Kingston closes with 68 to finish in share of 4th in Swiss Seniors Open

James Kingston closed with a two-under-par 68 on Sunday to finish in a share of fourth in the Legends Tour’s Swiss Seniors Open played at Golf Club Bad Ragaz in Bad Ragaz, Switzerland.

The 2007 South African Open champion made three birdies and a bogey in the final round of the 54-hole tournament to move to seven-under-par for the tournament That put him three strokes behind the winner, Jarmo Sandelin of Sweden. Sandelin finished one clear of Bradley Dredge of Wales and two ahead of England’s Peter Baker. Kingston shared fourth with Euan McIntosh of Scotland and England’s Andrew Marshall.

Marshall had shared the 36-hole lead with Adilson Da Silva, but the Brazilian who lives in South Africa endured a tough final round, with three early bogeys seeing him slide down the leaderboard. He made an eagle on the 16th, but two more bogeys on the homeward nine saw him finish on three-over 73 for a total of five-under in 10th place.

Keith Horne closed with a level-par 70 to be level-par for the tournament in a share of 32nd.
