Delano Kotze stayed composed on Wednesday to pull off a play-off victory for his first Bushveld Tour title in a two-day event at Glendower Golf Club.
Kotze made an eagle, three birdies and two bogeys on his way to a closing three-under-par 69. Together with his opening one-under-par 71, that took him to four-under for the tournament, level with Keegan McLachlan, who had rounds of 73 and 68.
Kotze then saw off the challenge posed by the play-off.
Eben Spangenberg and Stuart Krog of Zimbabwe shared third on three-under-par, with eight players in a share of fifth on one-under-par.
It was Kotze’s fourth tournament on the Bushveld Tour this season, and he moved to 42nd on the Order of Merit. McLachlan, who has now played 10 events, leads the Order of Merit from Ricky Hendler, Michael Kok and Slade Pickering.
