Travis Ladner increased his lead to four on Wednesday after the second round of the Bushveld Tour’s Tour Championship presented by Srixon Golf SA at Ebotse Golf and Country Estate when he carded a two-under-par 70.
He made two bogeys in his second round, which was one more than he made in his opening five-under 67, and they came on his back nine on the 13th and 14th. There were two birdies on his way home too, on the 12th and the closing 18th, and, together with two gains he made on the second and seventh on the front nine, he moved to seven-under for the 54-hole tournament.
In second place was fellow amateur Jono Broomhead, who had a three-under 69 to move to three-under for the tournament ahead of the 36-hole cut. In a share of third were Brandon Gildenhuys, Nicholaus Frade and Hanlo Jacobs on two-under, with amateur Francois van der Walt and professional Matthew Rushton in a share of sixth on one-under.
