Level-par 70 sees Germishuys slip to share of 13th in Japan

Deon Germishuys slipped to a share of 13th place on Saturday with a level-par 70 in the third round of the DP World Tour’s ISPS Handa-Championship at PGM Ishioka Golf Club in Omitama, Japan.

He made three birdies and three bogeys to stay at eight-under through 54 holes, five strokes off the lead heading into the final round. The lead was held by Canada’s Aaron Cockerill who signed for a six-under-par 64 to move to 13-under. Cockerill was one clear of Scotland’s David Law and Australian Lucas Herbert. There were four players on 11-under, two on 10-under and four on nine-under, while Germishuys shared 13th with six other players, including first-round leader Any Sullivan on England.

Jacques Kruyswijk carded his second-successive level-par 70 to remain at five-under for the tournament and in a share of 35th.

Ernie Els had a one-over 71 to drop to three-under and a share of 51st, Louis de Jager stayed on two-under with his level-par 70 to be in a share of 59th and Jbe’ Kruger had a two-over 72 to slip to level-par for the tournament in a share of 68th.
