Zander Lombard held on to a spot inside the top 10 on Saturday in the DP World Tour’s Cazoo Open de France at Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France as his one-under-par 70 put him in a share of eighth ahead of the final round.

Lombard made three birdies and two bogeys to move to eight-under-par through 54 holes. But the lead was starting to stretch away from him as Scotland’s Ewen Ferguson carded a four-under 67 to move to 13-under, five shots ahead of the South African. Ferguson shared the lead with halfway leader Jordan Smith. They were one shot clear of Japan’s Kazuki Higa, with Yannick Paul of France in fourth and another player from Japan, Ryo Hisatsune, in fifth.

Bryce Easton carded a three-under 68 to move to five-under ahead of the final round and a share of 22nd. Thriston Lawrence and Hennie du Plessis were on two-under in a share of 45th and Louis de Jager was on one-under after a second consecutive two-over 73.
