Dylan Mostert took advantage of a week off from the Sunshine Tour and carded an opening six-under-par 66 in the Bushveld Tour’s Srixon Series #3 at Serengeti Country Estate and Serengeti Par-3 Championship Course.
It was a bogey-free front nine for Mostert, which included an eagle-two on the par-four second hole. He made two bogeys on the back nine, on the 15th and 17th, but that was punctuated with five birdies as he moved into a two-stroke lead over Rayn van der Klis.
Zimbabwe’s David Amm and South African Tyrone Davidowitz shared third on three-under-par, while Haydn Porteous, Christiaan Pretorius, Stals Swart and amateur CJ van Wyk shared fifth on two-under-par.
The second round will be played on the Serengeti Par-3 Championship Course, and the final round will return to the main course.
