Shaun Norris made four birdies and an eagle on Sunday on his way to a closing three-under-par 69 and a share of third in the Japan Golf Tour’s Sansan KBC Augusta Golf Tournament in Fukuoka, Japan.
Norris made two early bogeys in the final round – on the first and the fourth – but a birdie on five and an eagle on the ninth ahead of the turn got him into red figures. He made three more birdies on the back nine as well as a bogey on the 17th as he reached 18-under-par for the tournament.
That was one shot off the winning total of 19-under-par, which was shared by Jinichiro Kozuma and Yuwa Kosaihira. Kozuma won on the second extra hole of the play-off.
The good finish for Norris lifted him to 20th on the Order of Merit.
