Louis Oosthuizen made five birdies and two bogeys on Sunday in the final round of LIV Golf International’s event in Chicago to finish on seven-under-par in sixth place in the 54-hole event.
Open champion Cameron Smith of Australia won with his closing three-under-par 69 good enough to keep him three strokes clear of Peter Uihlein and Dustin Johnson of the United States. Sergio Garcia was fourth and Joaquin Niemann of Chile was fifth.
Charl Schwartzel carded a closing one-under-par 71 to finish seventh, one stroke ahead of Phil Mickelson. Branden Grace also had a closing 71 to end up 18th on three-under, while Shaun Norris signed for a closing one-over 73 to lift himself off the bottom of the 48-man field to 44th at six-over.
The team contest was won for the fourth time in a row by 4 Aces GC, with Johnson, Talor Gooch, Pat Perez and Patrick Reed. The South African team, Stinger GC finished fifth, eights shots back on 16-under.
