Louis Oosthuizen made an eagle, four birdies and two bogeys on Sunday on his way to a share of fifth in LIV Golf Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club with his closing four-under-par 67.

Oosthuizen, who started his round on the third hole in the shotgun start used by LIV Golf, made a bogey on that hole, followed by a birdie on the fourth. He dropped another shot on the fifth, but he was bogey-free after that. He eagled the par-five 18th, and birdied his closing hole, the second.

At nine-under-par for the 54-hole tournament, he was eight strokes behind the winner, Joaquin Niemann of Chile. Niemann is the man Phil Mickelson reckons is the number one player in the world right now, despite the fact that he achieves his results against the same 54 players every time he plays. He carded a closing six-under-par 65 to beat Brooks Koepka by five shots.

Charl Schwartzel closed with a one-under-par 70 to finish on five-under in a share of 14th, while Dean Burmester’s two-under 69 took him to one-under and a share of 29th. Branden Grace closed with a 70 and was in a share of 41st in the 54-man field on three-over.

The South African Stinger GC team finished sixth on 12-under, with Sergio Garcia’s Fireballs GC winning the team contest on 22-under from Jon Rahm’s Legion XIII who were on 19-under.
