Louis Oosthuizen finished off a third-round of three-under-par 69 om Monday as the Players Championship stretched beyond the weekend after days of delays caused by bad weather.
His back nine of four birdies with no drops put him inside the top 10 ahead of the final round which will be played later on Monday. The lead is held by India’s Anirban Lahiri, who carded a third round of five-under 67 to move to nine-under for the tournament. He had a one-shot lead over Sebastian Munoz of Colombia, England’s Paul Casey and the American duo of Doug Ghim and Sam Burns.
Erik van Rooyen bogeyed the last hole of his third round to card a two-over 74 and slip to four-under for the tournament in a share of 20th.
Branden Grace signed for a one-over 73, and at level-par for the tournament, is in a share of 48th.
