Lee-Anne Pace will go into the final round of the Ladies European Tour’s Jabra Ladies Open at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France in a share of second after she carded a second-round of two-under-par 69 on Friday.
Ahead of her, Australia’s Whitney Hillier had a level-par 71 which included a hole-in-one at the eighth to stay five-under for the tournament. That was one clear of Pace and Spain’s Carmen Alonso. Pace made four birdies – including three in a row from the 16th to the 18th – and two bogeys in her round as she looks for a second victory of the season after she won the Investec South African Women’s Open at Steenberg earlier this year.
At level-par for the tournament after a second-round level-par 71 was Casandra Alexander in a share of seventh place. That’s right in the mix and puts her on course for a good finish in the final round.
Nicole Garcia signed for a two-over 73 to move to four-over for the tournament and a share of 28th together with Lejan Lewthwaite, who carded a one-over 72.
Stacy Lee Bregman, Nadia van der Westhuizen and eSwatini’s Nobuhle Dlamini missed the cut.
